Avid Bookshop and the Phi Kappa Literary Society present a banned books reading to celebrate Banned Books Week. This event will take place on Monday, September 25, from 4:30p.m.-5:30p.m. at our Prince Ave. location. This event is free and open to the public.
Banned Books Week is the last week in September and highlights books that have been banned or challenged in the past. Avid Bookshop and Phi Kappa will kick off Banned Books Week with a reading of banned books. We will also be collecting donations for the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement. The reading not only promotes freedom of expression, but supports our Athens community and its dedication to progress.
