On Friday, October 24 at 7pm, The Georgia Review will present Julia Elliott as part of their reading series upstairs at The Globe in downtown Athens. Julia's new story collection, THE WILDS, is out this month from Tin House.Bookshop owner Janet is about to read THE WILDS for the second time. "The language is phenomenal and the plots are strange and wonderful--I think you'll love reading this," Janet writes about the book.*Note: We feel that people who enjoy Julia Elliott's incredible prose will also enjoy the Avid Poetry Series this same evening. We encourage folks to come to Avid at 5:30pm to hear poets Anne Cecilia Holmes, Caroline Cabrera, and Gale Marie Thompson and then stroll to the Globe downtown for Julia's reading. Worried about missing dinnertime? No worries: The Globe serves food!
