There are other magical worlds out there to explore. Places that are welcoming and caring, no matter who you are. While many of these books are friendly for children, you shouldn't let that stop you whether you're 13 or 30.
JK Rowling has taken an aggressive stance against the transgender community. Avid Bookshop will not stand for this. As a response, we are pledging to donate a portion of profits from sales of JK Rowling's titles under her name (as well as sales of books written under her pen name Robert Galbraith) to the Athens Queer Collective.
A portion of proceeds from the sales of books on these reading lists: Trans Reads, Kids Edition and NOT H*rry P*tter will also go towards the Athens Queer Collective.
We support, uplift, and rally around the trans members of our community.
