One Book at a Time

When did you begin your journey towards a love of reading? Would you like to help a child in need begin that journey? If so, our new One Book at a Time program can help you do that.  We here at Avid Bookshop are thrilled to support Family-to-Family, Inc., a national hunger and poverty relief organization, in their effort to feed the "hungry minds" of children in need....one book at a time!Family-to-Family will match you to a child living in poverty, give you the child’s name, age, and reading level, and ask you to send one new book, along with a letter, each month. We ask that you commit to the program for one year, sending a total of 12 books and 12 letters. (The child will be encouraged to write back to you.) Once you've signed up with Family-to-Family's One Book At A Time program, check back in with us for a list of recommended books we think your One Book child will love! We hope you'll join us and support Family-to-Family's One Book At A Time program: together, we can make a real difference! Join Family-to-Family's efforts: EMAIL  books@family-to-family.org with your name and address. Need some suggestions for books to send?
